A drug dealer who was arrested in Cambridgeshire on Christmas Day has been jailed for more than four years.

Police were called to reports of concern at a property in Soham Road, Stuntney, on Christmas Day afternoon and found 42-year-old Fatjon Gjeshnika with a stash of cocaine.

Gjeshnika claimed the drugs were for him and his friends to enjoy over the festivities but detectives were able to prove otherwise after also discovering two mobile phones linking him to drug dealing and two fake identity documents.

At Cambridge Crown Court on Thursday (11/4) Gjeshnika was sentenced to four years and three months in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and two counts of possession of identity documents with intent.

PC Rachel Thomas, who investigated, said: “We’re committed to putting those who deal drugs before the courts. I hope this sentence will send out a clear message that those involved in these activities will be pursued and brought to justice.”
