Cambridge United fans take to the streets for loyal fan Robert
Those taking part will honour him ahead of the U's game today
Cambridge United fans will be walking the city's streets this morning in memory of one of its most loyal supporters.
Robert Osbourn, who died earlier this year, chaired the Cambridge Fans United group (CFU) and played a key part when the club was going through financial issues.
He was also a keen walker and so Cambridge fans have signed up to either a 3k, 5k or 10k walk to raise awareness of heart health, with all paths leading to the Abbey Stadium.
Andrew Stephen chairs the CFU group:
"If I were to pick one thing Robert achieved during his time as chairman, it was to insist on the internal audit being carried out and as a result, I would say Cambridge United are in a far stronger position," he said.
"Robert was not a man to give up; we felt that to organise it (the walk) in honour of Robert's memory would be a fitting tribute for someone who's done so much for the club and for us.
"He loved interacting with fans; he knew he was very well-informed, would advise very well and take any points made seriously and pass them onto the rest of us."
Where do the walks take place?
There are three walks available with each having their own starting point.
The 10k walk starts at Cambridge United's training ground on Bentley Road at 10am, the 5k walk begins at Jesus Green kiosk at 11am and the 3k takes place from Millennium Bridge at 11.30am.
It's an event which the CFU group alongside the Cambridge United and British Heart foundations have teamed up for to remember Robert, ahead of the U's hosting Shrewsbury Town in League One at 3pm.
"The football club is important particularly on the field, but it's what it does to unite a community that matters more than anything else," Andrew said.
"At the end of it when they reach the Abbey Stadium, they can go to the CFU caravan which Robert would have approved of and collect a medal for participating."
