Pregnant woman taken to hospital after being hit by car in Cambridge

A pregnant woman has been taken to hospital for treatment after being hit by a car in Cambridge.

Officers from the East of England Ambulance Service were alerted to the incident at 3:17pm on Friday afternoon (November 29th).

When responders arrived on the scene at Campkin Road in the north of the city, they found a woman who was with child requiring immediate medical attention.

In a statement, the Ambulance Service said that both an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene shortly after.

The woman is believed to have been taken to the Rosie Hospital nearby for further treatment; her condition is currently not known.
