Cambridge man jailed for repeated breaches of restraining order
Clifford Olive made harassing calls, sent messages, and loitered near victim's home despite court order
A Cambridge man has been jailed for two years after repeatedly breaching a restraining order meant to protect his ex-partner.
Clifford Olive, 27, of Victoria Road, was banned from contacting the woman earlier this year but ignored the court order ten times.
Following their breakup in January, Olive harassed the victim with calls, messages, voice notes, and fake social media accounts. Even after police arrested him and he was served a non-molestation order on 23 January, he continued his campaign of unwanted contact, even pretending to be someone else.
In April, Olive was seen near the victim’s home and later sent further messages and silent calls. On one occasion, he appeared on the street and shouted her name before walking away.
He admitted ten breaches and was sentenced at Peterborough Crown Court on 4 July. A separate stalking charge will lie on file.
