Two directors have stepped down from the Board of Cambridge United.

Christoph Loch and Jenny Horsfield have left their roles after periods of service that included earlier involvement with the club’s Foundation and Community Trust.

Christoph Loch joined the Board in 2016 after previously being a Trustee of the Foundation. The club said his time on the Board followed the team’s return to the Football League and included a focus on building links with Cambridge University and Anglia Ruskin.

Jenny Horsfield joined the Board in 2020. Before that, she had also been a Trustee of the Foundation. The club said she contributed to the design of the Active Science programme, which is now used by the Foundation and has also been adopted by AstraZeneca’s community STEM work in other areas.

The club said she also established and chaired the Women’s Board and helped integrate the Women’s team into the club during a period of change.

Shaun Grady, Chairman of the Board, said, “On behalf of all the Board and our Owners I would like to place on record our huge appreciation for Christoph and Jenny’s very significant contribution. We will collectively reflect on how we can continue to develop and strengthen across the Club at the Board level and elsewhere.”
