Serious crash between van and school bus on A47 between March and Thorney

Cambridgeshire police have shared shocking images of a collision between a van and school bus, with the van catching fire.

Officers from the Wisbech Neighbourhood Policing Team, Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service and East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust attended the collision on the A47 at the junction with Black Drove yesterday evening.

Fire crews from Wisbech and March attended and extinguished the fire before a recovery operation took place to remove the vehicles that were blocking the road.

There were no serious injuries reported.

Road repairs were taking place early this morning, which are now complete and temporary traffic management has been removed.
