Cambridge college lockdown lifted following nearby police incident
Cambridge Regional College confirmed the campus has fully reopened
Cambridge Regional College was placed on a temporary lock down this morning following an incident off campus.
This was put into place following police advice, due to an incident near the guided busway.
There is no report of any harm to students, staff or visitors. The incident was resolved quickly and police have confirmed there is no further risk to the public.
A spokesperson for the college said: "We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will continue to take every precaution to ensure everyone remains safe.
"Lockdown is a standard safety procedure that the college enacts as a precautionary measure for student safety. Our student support team is available in the Hub to support students."
The college has now been fully reopened.
Cambridgeshire Police have been contacted for comment.
