A man has been jailed after police uncovered a stash of cocaine and cash during a warrant in Cambridge.

Neighbourhood officers carried out the warrant at a property in Elflreda Road, Cambridge, on 22 May 2023.

Inside they found 27-year-old Mirgjen Hysa along with 27 bags of cocaine, £2885 in cash, multiple mobile phones and drug paraphernalia including scales and deal bags.

At Cambridge Crown Court on Friday (8 August), Hysa, of Whitehall Road, Walsall, was sentenced to two years and five months in prison after previously pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and failing to surrender to police bail.

PC Alex Macton, who investigated, said: “This case highlights our commitment to tackling drug supply in Cambridgeshire.

"The sentence handed down reflects the seriousness of Hysa’s offending and the impact drug dealing has on our communities.”
