A Cambridge business has been celebrated at a "best of British" dinner hosted by the King.

CMR Surgical Ltd, was one of the businesses gathered at Buckingham Palace last night, for The King Awards for Enterprise.

CMR Surgical (CMR) is a global surgical robotics business.

It's been awarded for Versius, a small and modular next-generation surgical robotic system.

The innovative design biomimicks the human arm, with the small, modular robotic arms providing versatile port placement.

This allows for complex procedures to be performed robotically that would otherwise be performed using open surgery.

It's the awards 57th year but the first after its been renamed following the death of the Queen Elizabeth II.
