South Cambridgeshire's Free to Feed campaign has extended to Peterborough and East Cambridgeshire, with more businesses pledging their support to show mums are welcome to breastfeed in their venue.

FreeToFeedCP encourages businesses to sign up as a breastfeeding and pumping friendly business, so mothers can feel relaxed, comfortable and confident feeding their children whilst out of the home.

The initiative is supported by NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Infant Feeding Team and the ‘Family Hubs’ partnership. Funding comes from the Public Health team at Cambridgeshire County Council from their Healthy Weight grant, as breastfeeding can prevent obesity risk by up to 25 per cent.

This week is also Breast Feeding Week (1-7th August).
