Homes evacuated after bungalow fire in March

Over 20 firefighters tackled the blaze

People have been evacuated from their homes in March as firefighters tackled a serious blaze at a bungalow.

Fire crews were called to the incident at around 6pm on Thursday (4th) on Hundred Road.

The fire had already spread to the rood of the house.

More than 20 firefighters, including crews from March, Chatteris, Manea and Stanground, and attended.

A turntable aerial ladder was also used to control the fire.

No casualties were involved and crews returned to their stations by 9.30pm.
