Adam May leaves Cambridge United to join Forest Green Rovers

He played a crucial role in the club's promotion from League 2 in 2021

Midfielder Adam May has left Cambridge United to join National League side Forest Green Rovers on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old made 146 appearances for the U's over four years - scoring 10 goals and assisting seven.

He played a crucial role in the club's promotion from League 2 in 2021.

In a statement the club said: "A lockdown legend, Newcastle hero and scorer of spectacular goals, everybody at Cambridge United would like to wish him all the very best and thank him for his time at the Club."
