A 27-year-old woman has been given a suspended prison sentence, for her role in the Bristol Riots in 2021.

Katie Webster, of no fixed address, has admitted to throwing a glass bottle at a police officer in Bristol.

She was due to stand trial this week, charged with assaulting an emergency worker, but pleaded guilty shortly before.

A judge has sentenced her to 21 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months.

Webster has also been told to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work, pay £600 in court costs and undergo 20 days of rehabilition.

Thirty two people have so far been given immediate jail terms, for a combined total of 98 years and 10 months.
