Two in hospital with serious injuries after crash in South Gloucestershire

Two people have been hospitalised, and have suffered serious injuries, after an incident in South Gloucestershire this afternoon.

The road has been closed since the incident - with police, ambulance and the fire service rushed to the scene on the A38.

A spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police said: "We are at the scene of a collision on A38 Gloucester Road North, in Filton, South Gloucestershire, this afternoon (Wednesday 29 May).

"Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries. Emergency services remain on the scene carrying out enquiries.

"The road is currently closed in both directions; inbound from Gipsy Patch Lane to Filton Avenue and outbound from Filton Roundabout to Gipsy Patch Lane.
