From leaving marmalade sandwiches, to displays of flowers and personal poems - communities have been finding personal ways to mark the passing of her Majesty.
People in Chard have been signing their book of condolence in the Guildhall, and also creating spaces for people to come together and reflect on the past week of historic events.
The town's museum has created a special window display featuring Royal memories and events from the past 70 years.
In a statement, the museum said: "We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
She was a truly remarkable woman and an inspiration to so many people.
"Chard Museum thanks her for her decades of service to our country and her happy and glorious reign."
The Chard Community Hub also a special window display and it's become a place where people cab get together to try to come to terms with events.
The Queen's funeral is due to be live streamed in the town's Guildhall on Monday
