Drivers are being warned of delays building on the M4 after reports of a five-vehicle crash near Bristol (4 October).

One lane has been closed on the westbound carriageway between Junction 19 and 20.

Elsewhere, Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash between a motorbike and a van yesterday (3 October).

Part of the M5 is now back open after the incident on the southbound carriageway between Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea.

The section of the motorway closed overnight for surface repairs.

In Wiltshire, a stretch of the M4 has been closed after a crash between a lorry and a car on Friday (4th October).

Emergency services were called to the scene, including an air ambulance.

The road is shut heading westbound between junction 14 for Hungerford and junction 15 for Swindon East.

National Highways said in a statement: "If you're caught within the westbound closure then we will be arranging to get you turned around from the rear of the queue.

"Thanks for your patience if you're caught within the westbound closure. We'll have you moving as soon as we can."
