Three people have appeared in court - charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs between the Avon and Somerset, and the Merseyside policing areas.

It's after officers stop-checked a car in Croxeth, in Liverpool, on Monday (October 30) - because of a smell of cannabis.

The three people who were inside the car when police stopped it were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences, and then taken to a police station for further investigations.

They were then charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine, between Merseyside and Avon and Somerset between September 29, 2023 and October 30, 2023.

The three charged are:

  • Alysha Scadden, 20, of Fairfield Road, Taunton
  • Jake Emptage, 21, of Church House Road, Berrow, Burnham-on-Sea
  • Anthony Davies, 31, of Paxton Road, Huyton

They appeared in Liverpool Magistrates’ Court yesterday (November 1).

Emptage was remanded into custody and Davies and Scadden were given conditional bail.

All three are next due in Liverpool Crown Court later this month - on November 29.
