Three arrested after crash near Bristol airport causes flight delays

We're being told to check before we travel, after delays at Bristol Airport because of a serious crash on the A38.

Police are appealing for information after a serious collision that caused disruption at Bristol airport this morning.

It happened just after midnight on the A38 near the airport.

One person has sustained possible life-threatening injuries, and three people have been arrested in connection with the incident, two of whom are also in hospital. The other is currently in police custody.

The road had to be shut between the airport roundabout and Skyline roundabout, after the two vehicle collision.

Flights from the airport are returning to normal after the disruption, and the road is now open again.

The police are asking for anyone with dashcam footage or that witnessed the crash, to get in touch, either by calling 101 or online.

A police spokesman said: "The road has now been reopened and we thank the public for their patience and understanding while we carried out inquiries."
