Stars of the Outlaws, a new TV show set in Bristol, will be at the world premiere at the Harbourside this evening (October 4th).

The red carpet event will take place at Watershed Cinema at the Harbourside.

The Outlaws (previously The Offenders) was written and directed by Bristol's very own Stephen Merchant and was filmed in various locations around the city.

It stars Academy Award-winning actor Christopher Walken and tells the story of seven strangers forced together to complete a Community Payback sentence in Bristol.

The story delves deep into the characters' stories and complicated private lives as they form unlikely new friendships and even get called to protect one of their own from Bristol’s most dangerous criminal gang.

The show is part crime thriller, and part character study - with humour and heart.

The Outlaws will also feature: Rhianne Barreto (Honour, Hanna), Gamba Cole (Soon Gone: A Windrush Chronicle, Hanna), Darren Boyd (Killing Eve), Clare Perkins (EastEnders), Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark), Jessica Gunning (Back) and Charles Babalola (Bancroft).

The production was set back when the first coronavirus lockdown hit soon after the shoot started.

Though filming for both series one and two has taken place since restrictions eased last year.

The new six-part series will air this Autumn on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK, and then later on Amazon Prime Video in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Nordic countries.
