Tens of millions of pounds is being invested across the South West to help improve grassroots sports pitches.

It comes with Sunday League football due to restart soon in Bristol and Bath.

A group called the Football Foundation has teamed up with the government, FA and Premier League and is offering advice to clubs on how to improve their pitches through a free app called Pitch Power.

England men’s football team manager, Gareth Southgate, will be teaming up with stars from rugby and cricket to launch the Football Foundation’s new £92 million funding commitment into community multi-sport facilities.

At the event, the Premier League, The FA and Government’s Football Foundation will announce its plans to commit 40% of its investment into multi-sport projects that support both football and an additional sport, such as rugby, cricket, netball and basketball, by 2025.
