Teenagers arrested after stabbing in Devizes Town Centre

A man in his 30s suffered knife wounds to his arm and was threatened with a firearm on Long Street

Two teenagers have been arrested following a stabbing in Devizes town centre.

It happened in the early hours of yesterday morning (January 3) - at around 2am - on Long Street - which saw a man in his 30s treated in hospital for knife wounds to his arm.

Police say these wounds aren't thought to be life-changing or life threatening, and he has since been discharged.

In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: "Officers investigating the incident have arrested a 15-year-old boy from Devizes on suspicion of GBH and robbery. He has since been released on bail.

"A 16-year-old boy has also been arrested this morning on suspicion of GBH and robbery and remains in custody for questioning.

"Residents are likely to see more officers in the area as they carry out reassurance patrols.
