Teenagers arrested in connection with Bristol knife attack

Two people have been arrested in connection with a knife incident in Bristol.

It happened last Thursday (27 June), at about 7:40pm near the junction of The Horsefair, Hanover Court and Concorde Street.

Detectives have confirmed they have taken in a 13-year-old on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and violent disorder.

The teenager has since been released on bail, with conditions not to contact named individuals and not to attend the Cabot Circus area.

We're also told a boy the same age was injured in the assault.

We also know a second arrest has been made, in which a 14-year-old boy was taken in on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, affray and possession of a knife/blade in a public place.

He has also been released on conditional bail.

The injured boy remains in hospital in a stable condition, and his condition is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Insp Tom Gent said: “We know this incident will have caused upset and concern and we want to reassure our communities that we’re carrying out a full and thorough investigation, with significant progress already being made.

“We’re working closely with our partner agencies to ensure all necessary safeguarding is in place and additional patrols were carried out over the weekend.
