Somerset mum lives in a 'constant nightmare' over missing son
It's been a year since Michael Frison went missing in Italy.
A mum from Chard says she won't stop until she finds her son who went missing in July last year.
The appeal comes as Michael's family mark a year since he first went missing in Sardinia, Italy.
In July 2024, 25-year-old Michael was on a trip to see his grandparents, when he travelled to a remote area of the island with a friend.
On the 13th of July, he went out for a walk on his own and vanished.
Local authorities carried out a 10-day search, with drones, helicopters and an army of volunteers but found no trace of Michael.
A criminal investigation into Michael's disappearance is still ongoing by local authorities.
His mother Cristina Pittalis joined the search, and has been working every day since to find him.
"I'm quite overwhelmed by everything, we still have no traces or links to what happened to Michael and where he could be right now" said Cristina.
She continued: "It's a constant nightmare, and it's difficult to carry on with our lives.
"I'm broken but I'm dedicated to find Michael and know what happened."
Cristina continues to update Facebook with information and to raise awareness, which you can find here.
She said: "The public support has been amazing and the media support has been amazing.
"There are loads of volunteers that are still very much present and still go out and look for Michael."
