Police investigate Brislington fight
A taxi driver was injured in the incident involving baseball bats and other weapons
Police are investigating after a fight in Bristol involving baseball bats and other weapons, left a taxi driver injured.
Officers out on patrol in Brislington found the man injured at around 9:15pm on Sunday (21 May), he was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The victim, in his 50s, was reportedly hurt after dropping off a group of young people at a house near Choke Walk.
A fight then broke out, after which a man carrying a "bladed article" chased the group back to the taxi and amongst it all the driver was injured.
Police say the car and building involved were also damaged.
Those involved then left and a police helicopter was called to help find them.
"A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent causing grievous bodily harm at about 11.50pm," a statement from Avon and Somerset Police reads.
"He remains in custody at this time.
"Enquiries to identify all those involved are ongoing.
"A baseball bat was recovered by officers in the Callington Road area overnight."
