Person taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after A370 crash

Emergency services were called to the scene near Congresbury yesterday

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a crash in North Somerset.

It happened at around 12.30pm yesterday (Friday 2 September) on the A370 Old Western Road, near Congresbury.

Two vehicles were involved - a motorcycle and a car.

One person has been taken to hospital by air ambulance with injuries which are believed to be life-threatening. Their family are aware and being supported by specialist officers.

Avon and Somerset Police are now asking any witnesses, or drivers with dashcam footage, to come forward.

The road was closed for some time yesterday but has since reopened.
