More than 100 artists, set creators and robotics experts are busy building a new tourist attraction opening in Bristol this summer.

Wake the Tiger is being put together in St Phillips by the team behind Boomtown music festival, who say they want to create an all year round site to show off their creative story telling.

The attraction has been described as part art gallery, part theme park and part film set for people to immerse themselves in.

Graham MacVoy, Founder and Managing Director of Wake The Tiger, explains:

“This project is two years in the making and the result of decades of creative input from some of the best technologists, story-tellers and creative minds working across festivals and attractions in the UK. We are starting this new movement in our spiritual home of Bristol and can’t wait to be open this summer.”

Over £1.5million of seed investment has already been secured from private investors which is hoped will bring new jobs to Bristol's creative sector. This month, the team is launching its Crowdcube fundraiser to secure an additional £350,000.
