Motorcyclist dies in Avonmouth crash

A car and the rider collided on Kings Weston Lane on Thursday morning

A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a car in Avonmouth on Thursday (12th December).

Emergency services were called to Kings Weston Lane just after 7am to reports of a collision between a bike and a Volkswagen Polo. The rider, believed to be a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Whilst the man is yet to be formally identified his next of kin have been told and are being supported by specially trained officers from Avon and Somerset Police. The road was closed until around 1:30pm while investigations were carried out, between St Andrew's Road and Merebank Road.
