Men jailed for running cocaine 'delivery service' in Bristol
They were handed the sentence earlier this week at Bristol Crown Court after a four-month police investigation

Three men have been jailed for more than 20 years combined for their role running a cocaine 'delivery service' in Bristol.
A 4-month investigation by police found they used a phone - called the 'Captain line' - to take orders, which would then see the drugs delivered to busy night life spots across the city.
The group's estimated to have delivered 1.6 kilos of cocaine between December 2022 and March 2023, whilst a fourth man's been handed a suspended sentence.
Three had previously admitted their involvement in a conspiracy to supply the illegal drug between December 2022 and March 2023, while one was convicted following a trial at Bristol Crown Court.
They were sentenced earlier this week at Bristol Crown Court.
- 27-year-old Abdikarim Ahmed from Avonvale Road in Barton Hill was jailed for 6 years 10 months after admitting conspiracy to supply cocaine and possession of criminal property
- 32-year-old Osman Mahamoud Mohamed from Avonvale Road was jailed for 7 years 9 months after being convicted of conspiracy to supply cocaine. He was acquitted of possessing criminal property
- 24-year-old Mohamed Tahya Amin from Redcliff Hill in Redcliff was jailed for 5 years 7 months after admitting conspiracy to supply cocaine
- 28-year-old Abdurahman Yahya Amin from Redcliff Hill was handed a 2 year jail term, suspended for 2 years, and ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work plus 30 days of rehabilitation activity after admitting conspiracy to supply cocaine
The court heard that once the orders were made on the 'Captain line', their deliveries would usually be taken to busy meeting points in the city, like King Street, St Nicholas Street and Whiteladies Road, or to addresses across the city including in Clifton, Redland and Eastville.
There were even deliveries outside the city, for example in Stoke Gifford.
Back on March 27th this year, all four were arrested and officers recovered cocaine with an estimated street value of £7,680.
The arrests took place after Abdikarim Ahmed returned from an extended trip to Dubai.
Searches of the men's homes in Barton Hill and Redcliff led to the seizure of designer clothing worth an estimated £20k, jewellery including a £25.5k Rolex watch, pictured, thousands of pounds in cash, pictured, and a £65k Mercedes.
In the the 14 months before his arrest, investigations found Abdikarim Ahmed had almost £189,000 paid into his accounts, while Osman Mohamed had credits totalling almost £140,500 in the same period.
Ahmed and Mohamed are thought to have been running the "Captain" line together since October 2020 and officers are now considering an application under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Bristol Police Commander, Superintendent Mark Runacres, said: "We are determined to take action against those who profit from the supply of illegal drugs. These individuals treated their criminal activity like a business enterprise, offering discounts and doorstep delivery.
"Our priority in drugs enforcement is targeting those involved in the supply chain, but we're also working, alongside others, to educate and inform people about the issues surrounding drug use. My message for people who take so-called 'recreational' drugs - like cocaine or ecstasy - is that there is a hidden social and environmental cost, not just in the UK but in the countries where it's produced."
