Investigation launched after man stabbed in Bristol park
A man in his 20s suffered injuries described as 'potentially life-changing'
A man has been taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a stabbing in a Bristol park.
An area of Newtown Park has been cordoned off after an incident near Hassell Drive last night.
The victim, a man in his 20s, told police that he had been attacked by three males, who made off on bikes.
A spokesperson for Avon & Somerset Police said: "Police are at the scene of an assault in Bristol which has left a man in hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.
"Officers were called to Newtown Park, near Hassell Drive, by the ambulance service at about 11.30pm on Thursday 9 May.
"A man in his twenties suffered knife wounds and said he had been attacked by three males who made off on bikes.
"Investigations at the scene continue.
"Enquiries are at a very early stage, and officers urge anyone with any information or footage which could help to call 101 and give the reference 5225129176."
