Arrest made after man dies at property in Staple Hill

Avon and Somerset Police have launched an investigation after a man was found unconscious at an address in Hayward Road, Staple Hill.

Officers attended the address just after 5.40pm on Thursday 25 July.

A man has been arrested in connection with the death.

The force said: "A man was found unresponsive and sadly, despite the efforts of officers and ambulance crew, died at the scene.

"Pending the results of a forensic postmortem, the death is currently being treated as suspicious.

"While the cause has yet to be established, a man was arrested from the address and remains in police custody at this time."

The police added they are working to identify the victim and trace his next of kin.
