Man to appear before magistrates following distraction burglary in Minehead

A man's due to appear before magistrates next month after being charged in connection with a distraction burglary in Minehead.

Police launched an investigation after a wallet and jewellery were stolen from an elderly man in the Parkhouse Road area back in May.

27 year old Kallum Nolan, of Hawthorn Road, Minehead, is also charged with 11 counts of fraud, which relates to the alleged use of bank cards taken in the burglary at cashpoints and retail premises. There are also separate charges of shoplifting and common assault, relating to an incident at the Co-op store in Minehead on the 26th of June.

Nolan appeared at Taunton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 26th June and was released on bail. He will attend his next hearing on Monday 12th August.
