Further three charged over Bristol Southport violence
It brings the total number of people charged in connection with unrest in Bristol earlier this month, to 28
Yet more people have been charged with violent disorder following the unrest in Bristol earlier this month, over the killing of three young girls in Southport.
Avon and Somerset Police say Tom Thompson-Arnold (30) from Clevedon, Thomas Medler (24) from Lockleaze and Mohamed Osman (37) from Easton, are all due to appear at Bristol Magistrates Court today (29th August).
It brings the total number of people charged in connection with the violence on Saturday 3rd August to 28, with nine already having been handed prison sentences. A total of 41 people have been arrested.
Last week two men from Hartcliffe and Knowle were sentenced for their involvement.
Sending Craig Timbrell from Hartcliffe to prison, His Honour Judge Lambert described his behaviour as “aggressive” and “disgusting”.
Commenting on that sentencing, Detective Chief Inspector Clement Goodwin said: “We have consistently said we would pursue those responsible for the disgraceful behaviour we saw that day and this work continues."
