Four arrested after attempted Bristol kidnap

A police investigation has begun into a suspected kidnapping in Bristol.

Avon and Somerset Police were called to Cadogan Road in the Hengrove area at around 10:25pm on Sunday night (16 April), to reports a man was being attacked and forced into the boot of a car.

A man, thought to be the victim, was then found injured on Airport Road nearby.

Four men aged between 32 and 47 have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap, with the 32-year-old also detained on suspicion of possessing class A drugs.

They were all found at an address in the Avonmouth area.

“The victim, aged in his 30s, received treatment at hospital and has since been discharged," a statement from the police reads.

“The arrested men remain in police custody as enquiries into the incident continue.

“A vehicle has been recovered as part of our investigation and specialist crime scene investigators are due to examine Cadogan Road and Airport Road today, (17 April."
