Avon and Somerset Police tell us they're supporting the fire service after reports of a blaze this morning in Kingswood.

It's understood the emergency services are at the scene of the derelict Lucas Ingredients Factory.

In a statement, Avon Fire and Rescue said: "We were called to reports of a fire at 05:45.

"Crews from Kingswood, Temple, Hicks Gate, Southmead, Bedminster and Portishead attended.

"On arrival, crews found a fire in a derelict building.

"With six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, crews used multiple jets to extinguish the fire.

"The cause of the incident is thought to have been deliberate ignition.

"The incident was left in the hands of police colleagues."
