M5: Drivers warned of long delays after three-vehicle crash

Drivers are being warned of delays on the M5 southbound near Bristol this morning (17 October).

According to traffic site Inrix, emergency services have been called to the scene.

It follows a crash involving three vehicles.

Inrix said: "queueing traffic due to recovery work and accident, now on the hard shoulder on M5 Southbound from J16 A38 Gloucester Road (Aztec West) to J17 A4018 (Cribbs Causeway).

"Congestion to just past J15 (Almondsbury Interchange).

"Cameras show all lanes are now open following a brief hold of around 15 minutes whilst the vehicles involved were moved over to the shoulder."

Lanes are now reopening but disruption is still expected.
