Campaigners from the League Against Cruel Sports will be in Taunton later calling for hunting with dogs to be banned on council-owned land

It's all part of their 'Enough is Enough' campaign - following reports of nearly 300 incidents in Somerset in the last four years

A fox and deer hunting ban outlawed hunting with dogs in England and Wales in 2005

In response, the county council said it has no direct policy - and lets tenants make the decisions

After protesting outside county hall, the league will be on Taunton High Street talking to shoppers about the campaign.

A spokesperson for Somerset County Council said: “We have no direct policy on this matter, all our land is let to others and our tenants have the decision as to who they invite onto their land for lawful activities.”
