Cinema coming back to Cabot Circus
ODEON will take over the site which was formally a Showcase Cinema De Lux
Bristol's Cabot Circus Shopping Centre is getting a cinema once again, with ODEON set to open a site in 2025.
The UK's largest cinema brand will take over the site which formally housed a Showcase Cinema De Lux, before it closed last year.
Owners of Cabot, Hammerson, say the announcement follows a survey which found the thing visitors wanted most was a new cinema.
Toby Tait, Director of Asset Management at Hammerson said: “Cabot Circus is proud of its record providing Bristol with a leading cinema which acts as a key draw to both our destination and the wider city centre.
"This new partnership with ODEON is the culmination of months of hard work to select the best operator and bring the latest technology and experience into a completely renewed cinema venue.
"It adds to our growing line-up of restaurants and entertainment venues, specifically introduced to boost day and night experiences at Cabot Circus in the heart of Bristol.”
Hammerson say ODEON is the 10th business to agree to join Cabot Circus this year, as part of "a drive to bring new brands and experiences to central Bristol".
Others to have recently signed up include King Pins Bowl, which will open a new bowling, gaming and leisure centre next year.
Treetop Golf will open a crazy golf site in December, while restaurants Six by Nico and Honi Poke will also be opening soon. Outside London, the only other places Honi Poke can be found is Manchester and Leeds.
Fit out is also currently taking place on a new Marks & Spencer.
