Driver arrested and two injured after car crashes into Kingswood pub
Avon and Somerset Police have launched an investigation following the incident in the early hours of yesterday morning (9 July)
A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a car crashed into the Kingswood Colliers Pub in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The incident happened at about 1.20am yesterday (Sunday 9 July) on Regent Street in Kingswood, involving a black Nissan Note car.
Police say two pedestrians were injured, with three people - including the driver - leaving the scene before officers could get there.
The two others are reported by police to have also been in the vehicle at the time.
The driver was later taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary to be checked over by medical professionals before being brought back to police custody where he remains.
The two pedestrians, both men, attended Southmead Minor Injuries Unit following the incident.
The car has since been recovered.
Avon and Somerset Police detectives have launched an appeal for witnesses and CCTV as investigations into what happened continue.
In a statement, the force added: "Anyone who witnessed any part of the incident is asked to contact us.
"We’re particularly interested in hearing from anyone who saw the car prior to the collision as well as anyone with dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage of it.
