Bristol's International Balloon Fiesta will no longer be taking place at Ashton Court this year.

Organisers have made changes to the event, now called 'Fiesta Fortnight', due to the uncertainty surrounding large scale events and coronavirus.

A number of displays will be put on in the first two weeks of August, to be enjoyed at a distance from either people's own homes or local communities. It's hoped this new approached will help with social distancing rules, if they're still in force by then.

All this follows Boris Johnson delaying stage four of England's roadmap out of lockdown due to increasing case numbers of the Delta coronavirus variant.

Organisers say more details will be announced in the next few weeks. Members of the public are being asked to nominate locations for balloons to launch from. You can do that here.
