Avon & Somerset Police reported in the early hours of Sunday morning that they were responding to an 'unlicensed music event'.

They used X to confirm that officers had received reports of loud music at a location off Winterstoke Road in Bedminster.

A post six hours later said that they were still dealing with the incident but that the music had stopped.

One X user posted shortly after 8am the music had been "going on all night" and had not stopped.

The exact location has not been confirmed but images posted to the service's X account place the incident in a retail park of Winterstoke Road.

The service say they will provide updates in due course.
