Arrests made after bank robbery in Bristol
Avon and Somerset Police were called out to the NatWest in Straits Parade yesterday (May 23)
Two people have been arrested after a bank robbery in Bristol.
Police say they were called to the NatWest in Straits Parade yesterday morning (May 23) when an unknown man 'in possession of a knife' threatened staff before making off with cash.
The suspect, wearing a grey tracksuit and hoody, fled the scene on an e-scooter.
Later that day, a 42-year-old man was arrested.
At 6pm, he was taken in by police on suspicion of robbery and aggravated dwelling burglary.
This morning (May 24), a 53-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit robbery.
Both remain in custody.
Avon and Somerset Police are now appealing for any witnesses, as well as anyone with any relevant CCTV, dashcam or phone footage, who may have seen the offender fleeing the scene or may have been in the bank at the time of the incident.
