A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in Bath earlier this week.

He was detained today, after a man in his late teens was stabbed in a playground at Odd Down sports at around 11.50am on Wednesday (6/9).

The victim's injuries aren't thought to be life threatening.

The man arrested, who's also in his late teens, remains in police custody.

Officers continue to appeal for any witnesses who may have seen what happened, or who may have any footage which could help.

Detectives are especially keen to hear from anyone who saw a dark-coloured car leave Chelwood Drive at speed in the direction of Bloomfield Road immediately after the attack.

A similar vehicle was later seized by police after being abandoned in Linley Close.
