2021 Bristol Harbour Festival cancelled
Organisers say they don't have enough time to plan
The Bristol Harbour Festival will not take place this year, it has been announced.
The event usually goes ahead in July, but in a brief statement organisers say they do not have enough time to plan.
"This has been a difficult decision to come to, but unfortunately the timelines leading up to this year's event do not allow enough time to plan the event the city deserves," it says.
"Instead we will be focusing our efforts on creating an incredible 50th anniversary celebration in 2022."
Held every summer, the festival draws in tens of thousands of visitors a day over the course of a weekend and features market stalls, music and dance performances and of course, action on the water.
