A 15-year-old boy has become the 17th person to be charged following the disorder in Bristol on Saturday August 3, Avon and Somerset Police said.

The teenager has been charged with violent disorder and is due to appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

The force said 30 people have been arrested so far following the disorder.

One person has been released and will face no further action while enquiries remain ongoing in relation to the others.

The force said their investigation into the disorder is continuing and urged the public to help them identify people in pictures they have shared.
