Women hospitalised after crash with police car in Leeds

It happened last night at the junction of Selby Road and Dunhill Rise.

Two women have been taken to hospital after their vehicle crashed into a police car in Leeds.

It happened last night before 10pm at the junction of Selby Road and Dunhill Rise.

West Yorkshire Police released the following statement:

At 9.44pm last night (22/10) police officers in a marked roads policing unit vehicle were involved in a road traffic collision with a member of the public’s car at the junction of Selby Road and Dunhill Rise in Leeds.

Two women members of the public, aged 39 and 61, from the other car were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not considered life threatening.

The two police officers involved were not injured.

A road closure and diversion has been put in place for collision investigation work and the Independent Office for Police Conduct has been notified.
