Woman seriously injured after being dragged by car in Harehills identified

Police arrested a 34-year-old man yesterday in connection with the incident.

Police investigating an incident in Leeds where a woman was seriously injured after being dragged by car have now identified her.

The woman, who was injured in an incident involving a silver Vauxhall Astra in Strathmore Avenue, Harehills, at about 2.30pm yesterday (13/9), has been confirmed as a 30-year-old local woman, following contact overnight from her partner.

She remains in hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

A 34-year-old man, who was arrested yesterday in connection with the incident, remains in custody.

Enquiries are continuing today to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
