Man in hospital after car collides with bridge in Wakefield
A 25-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A man has been seriously injured after his car collided with a bridge in Wakefield at the weekend.
It happened on Sunday morning when a Citroen collided with a railway bridge on Doncaster Road
West Yorkshire Police released the following statement:
"Police are appealing for witnesses after a car collided with a bridge in Wakefield."
"It happened in Ackworth at about 9am on Sunday, 2 May, when a Citroen DS3 travelling towards Badworth on the Doncaster Road, struck the railway bridge over the road.
"The occupant, a 25-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the movements of the vehicle prior to it is asked to contact Roads Policing on 101 or via the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting log reference 0398 of 2 May. "
