Man and woman in 50s seriously injured after Mytholmroyd crash

It took place on Friday night when a Skoda and BMW were involved in a head-on collision.

Three people have been injured, two seriously, after a car crash in Mytholmroyd at the weekend on Friday (25/9).

At around 8.10pm, a red Skoda Octavia and a black BMW were in collision on Burnley Road.

The Skoda had been travelling towards Hebden Bridge, while the the BMW was travelling in the opposite direction.

A man and a woman, both in their 50s, who were in the Skoda, were seriously injured.

The driver, a 26-year-old man, suffered minor injuries.

The driver and an occupant from the BMW made off from the scene.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who saw the occupants of the BMW making off the area to contact police.
