5-year-old girl suffers 'serious injuries' after Halifax car crash

A 29 year old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving over the prescribed limit alcohol.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in Halifax.

Officers were called to Brackenbed Lane yesterday evening at 7pm to reports three vehicles were in collision.

A Silver BMW, Black Ford Mondeo and Silver Seat Leon were in collision.

A 5 year old girl who was a passenger in the BMW was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the BMW a 29 year old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving over the prescribed limit alcohol. He remains in police custody at this time.

Officers would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the vehicles prior to the collision to come forward or anyone who may have any dash cam footage.

Police are also keen to know the BMW movements prior to the collision, it’s understood the vehicle was parked up in the town centre.
