Jewellery worth £30,000 stolen during Borders break-in

Jewellery worth around £30,000 has been stolen during a break-in in West Linton.

It happened at a property on Carlops Road sometime between Wednesday, November 1st and Wednesday, November 8th.

Police are appealing for anyone who has any information to contact them.

Detective Constable Louise Begley, from Police Scotland, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have seen anything suspicious within this time frame or who may have any information which could assist us to get in touch.

“I would like to take this opportunity to remind people to take precautions to ensure that their homes are as secure as possible before leaving.

“Take time to make sure all locks are working and any alarm systems or CCTV are set before leaving your home and remember to remove or store any valuables out of sight.”
